Since 1952, SCUT Library has received an extensive donation of books from teachers and students, alumni and the community. Donations include ten thousand domestic and foreign books on architecture from Professor Long Qingzhong of SCUT, about one hundred original foreign books on chemistry from Professor Li Bincai, more than three thousand books published in Hong Kong or Taiwan donated by Shi Jingyi, a celebrity in Hong Kong.
