Sports and Entertaining Facilities
The University has 3 Football Arenas, 4 Tennis Courts, 1 Entertaining Center with Basketball and Badminton Courts, as well as many other Volleyball and Basketball grounds and an open air swimming-pool. The well-equipped Gym Room is open to all students at a low charge. The university cinema and disco are open on Friday and Saturday evening.

Canteen
Six students'canteens and 3 restaurants can be found on campus. There are also many others around the campus. In addition, a public kitchen is open to overseas students free of charge in the Overseas Students'Dorm.

Overseas Students'Dorm
The newly built Overseas Students'Dorm is located in the campus center. The Dorm provides kitchen-wares, refrigerators and washing-machines for public use. Each room has at least two Internet cable plugs to the campus network through which the Internet can be accessed at high speed.

Health Care
Hospitals can be found on and off campus.

Transportation
Convenient transportation is attributed to SCUT's location, which is regarded as the center of higher learning and technology center in Guangzhou.
Bus——Bus 22 goes to Beijing Road, a commercial center; Bus 234 leads to Guangzhou Railway Station; Bus 229 ends at the Cultural Park near Shamian Island; Bus 197 towards Jiangnan Xi Road.
Subway——The nearest exit/entrance is about 15-minutes ride away from SCUT by bus.
Train——The East Railway Station/The Guangzhou-Kowloon Train Station is about 3 kilo-meters away, while the GZ Train Station is 15 kilometers from SCUT. It takes around 2 hours by express train from Guangzhou to Hongkong.
Airport——90 domestic flights to 74 cities and 24 international flights to 19 cities arrive at and leave from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.
