Dr. Shiwang Cheng received his Bachelor’s degree in 2009 from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He got his Ph.D in Dec. 2013 from the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron. Since Jan. 2014, he works as a postdoc with Prof. Alexei P. Sokolov at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Cheng’s Ph.D work mainly focused on the mechanical behavior, fracture mechanics, and rheology of polymers. His recently efforts are mostly on the structure and properties of polymer nanocomposites, association polymers, polymerized ionic liquid for ion conductivity, and novel polymer membranes for gas separation. Dr. Cheng has so far published 30 papers on various subfields of his expertise, including Physical Review Letters, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Macromolecules, Journal of Rheology, and etc.
Dr. Yuanchao Li is an NRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University associated with US Army Research Office. He received his Ph.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013 and BS in Polymer Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China in 2008.
