Departure
1¡¢Overseas students should leave the university within ten days after graduation day.

2¡¢When leaving due to graduation or completing the course work, overseas students should fill out which a Form of Procedure for the Departure of Overseas Students and go through the departure procedures at the designated offices in accordance with the regulations, should be forwarded to the International Office on completion to be checked. Students who have met the graduation requirements of SCUT and requirements on issuing certificates will be awarded a certificate. A Graduation Certificate and an Academic Degree Certificate are awarded to non-language graduates.

3¡¢Government scholarship students who stay more than 10 days after graduation are no longer granted the status of being a government scholarship student.

4¡¢Students who leave early whatever reason also have to complete the procedure for departure.
5¡¢Students who fail to depart within days after graduation will be treated as illegal aliens and should suffer any consequences thereafter themselves. Students who intend to prolong their stay can apply for a prolonged stay at the Section of Aliens Administration of the Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau.
