Be adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau
Guangzhou enjoys convenient transportation to Hong Kong and Macau. The East Railway Station provides a direct train to Hong Kong and is only 10 minutes ride away from SCUT. If you study at SCUT, traveling to Hong Kong is very convenient.

Guangzhou is the birthplace of Cantonese. If you study at SCUT, you can learn not only the Standard Chinese (Mandarin) but also native Cantonese, which is one of the official languages of Hong Kong and Macau as well.
