Biography:

(1)Dr. Liyu Chen received his B.S. in 2013 and Ph.D. in 2017, both from South China University of Technology. Then he conducted postdoctoral work at AIST-Kyoto University Chemical Energy Materials Open Innovation Laboratory (ChEM-OIL). His research focuses on the design and synthesis of metal-organic framework-based materials for heterogeneous catalysis. He has published 24 SCI papers (including 14 papers as first author/corresponding author). Among the articles published with the first author's identity, there includes one listed in the “Highly Cited Papers” by ESI, two selected as cover papers, one reported by Materials Views-China and one highlighted by Synfacts, one selected as Top 50 Articles of 2016 in Chemical Science.

(2)Dr. Caiyun Geng received her B.S. in Chemistry at Qufu Normal University in 2004 and obtained Ph.D. in Chemistry from Bonn University, Germany in 2012. From 2016.09 to present, she is a postdoctoral researcher at Institute of Chemistry, Technical University of Berlin. Her research interests are exploring mechanistic insights of some important reactions by using state-of-the-art quantum chemical calculations. She has published more than 30 SCI papers (J. Am. Chem. Soc.: 3, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA:2, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.:1). Some of her work has been deemed by the peer reviewer as “a primer that all chemistry graduate students should read to see what is possible, and where they can create new opportunities for the future”.

(3)Dr. Xiaofang Jia received her B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Jilin University in 2009 and obtained Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS in 2015, and continued to work there as an assistant professor until April 2016.  Then she moved to the Ohio State University as a postdoc since May 2016. From October 2017 to present, she is a MANA and JSPS postdoctoral researcher at National Institute for Material Science (NIMS), Japan. Her research interest is novel self-assembled nanomaterials for biomedical analysis. She has published 30 SCI papers (first author: 14, highlighted papers: 3, ESI highly cited papers: 2, total citation: >1800, h-index: 20). Her works have been highlighted by Medical News, Materials Views China and etc.

(4)Dr. Heng Jiang received his B.S. in Applied Chemistry at Jiangnan University in 2010 and obtained Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Nanjing University, China in 2016. During Oct. 2014 to Oct. 2015, he stayed in the Scripps Research Institute (La jolla, USA) as a joint Ph.D. student under the direction of Prof. Jin-Quan Yu. From Jan. 2017 to present, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Prof. Studer group at University of Münster, Germany. His research interests are radical chemistry and transition-metal catalyzed C-H bond activation. He has published 15 first-author research papers including 1 JACS paper and 6 Angew papers.

(5)Dr. Helei Liu received his B.S. in Applied Chemistry at Hunan University in 2012 and obtained Ph.D. in Process Systems Engineering from University of Regina, Canaa in 2018. From 2019.08 to present,  he is a postdoctoral researcher at Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CHBE), The University of British Columbia. His research interests are to reduced the energy consumption of amine-based CO2 capture process. He has published 42 SCI papers (with 29 first author and corresponding author, 4 ESI highly cited papers and 2 ESI hot papers.

(6)Dr. Ma received his B.S. in Chemistry at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2006 and obtained Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012. From 2017.06 to present,  he is a postdoctoral researcher at Berkeley National Laboratory. His research interests are focusing on chemical separation technologies, including mixed matrix membranes and hollow fiber membranes. He has published 14 papers with over 10 first-author papers on journals, including Adv. Funct. Mater., ChemSusChem, J. Membr. Sci., Ind. Eng. Chem. Res.

(7)Dr. Deyun Qian received his B.S. in Chemistry in 2010 at East China Normal University (ECNU) and obtained Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from ECNU in 2015. From 2015.08 to 2017.09, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). In 2017.10, He joined the group of Prof. Xile Hu at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, as a postdoctoral researcher. His research interests are homogeneous catalysis and asymmetric synthesis. He has published 16 SCI papers (first author: 11, journal cover papers: 1, ESI highly cited papers: 1). His work on asymmetric catalytic conversion of multiple bonds and small cyclics to chiral moleculars has been highlighted by Synfacts and so on.

(8)Dr. Conghui Tang received his B.S. in Applied Chemistry at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2011 and obtained Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Peking University in 2016. From 2016.09 to now, he is a postdoctoral researcher at Leibniz Institute for Catalysis, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of California, Santa Barbara. His research interests are C-N bond formation reactions, dearomatization of arenes and catalysis for energy. He has published 20 SCI papers including 10 as first author.

(9)Dr. Wang Zhigang received his B.S. in Chemistry at Shandong University of Technology in 2007 and obtained Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National University of Singapore, Singapore in 2018. From 2018.03 to present, he is a postdoctoral researcher at National University of Singapore. His research interests are catalytic inorganic hollow fiber membranes and membrane reactors. He has published 30 SCI papers (first author: 10, JCR 1: 10).

(10)Dr. Zheng-Long XU received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2012 and obtained Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2016. After working as a postdoctoral researcher in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he worked in Seoul National University as a Korea Research Fellow from April 2017 to present. His research interests are mainly focused on the development of advanced materials for renewable energy storage systems, and his has accumulated substantial experiences in fundamental studies through in-situ TEM. Dr. Xu has published 40 peer-reviewed journal papers and 2 US patents, with a citation number of over 1700 and H index of 26. His first-authored papers are published on decent journals including Nat.Commun., Adv. Mater., Prog. Mater. Sci., Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Energy Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater. and Nano Today. He is the winner of “SENG PhD Research Excellent Award” at HKUST in 2017.

(11)Dr. Xinchun Yang received his B.S. and M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Jiangsu University in 2010 and 2013, and his Ph.D. degree in Applied Chemistry at Kobe University (Japan)  in 2018, respectively. From 2018.05 to present, he is working in the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST, Kansai center) as a postdoctoral research fellow. His research focuses on the development of advanced heterogeneous catalysts for various catalytic reactions, specially, the catalytic hydrogen from liquid chemical hydrides. He has published 32 SCI papers (first authors: 13, ESI highly cited papers: 2). His work on the encapsulation of highly catalytically ative metal clusters inside organic cages has been highlighted by Nano Totay and Materials Today.

(12)Dr. Jingfang Yu received her B.S. in Pharmaceutical Engineering at Xiangtan University in 2011 and obtained Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Connecticut, USA in 2015. From 2016.05 to present, she is a postdoctoral researcher at Centre of Excellence (CoE), University of Oxford. Her research interests are 2D nanosheets and preparation of their polymeric composites for high gas barrier food packaging films. She has published 19 SCI papers (first author: 7, ESI highly cited papers: 1).

(13)Dr. Qinghua Yu received his B.S. in Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering in 2009 and obtained Ph.D. in Engineering Thermophysics in 2014, both from Xi'an Jiaotong University. From 2016.06 to present,  he is a postdoctoral researcher at Birmingham Centre for Energy Storage (BCES), University of Birmingham. His research interests are Energy storage and Photovoltaics & solar thermal conversion. He has published 24 SCI papers (first author: 14).

(14)Dr. Jing Zheng received his B.S. in Chemistry at University of Science and Technology of China in 2012 and obtained Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Hong Kong in 2018. From 2018.12 to present, he is a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Hong Kong. His research interests are Visible-Light-Driven Artificial Micro/nanomotors and Multi-Channel Manipulation. He has published 9 SCI papers (first author: 2, Nature Communications and Advanced Functional Materials).

(15)Dr. Yaqiong Su, received his master degree in College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University in 2014 and obtained Ph.D. in Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, Eindhoven University of Technology in 2019. Afterwards, he continued a postdoctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology. His research interests are structural sensitivity and reactivity in heterogeneous catalysis by means of first-principle, molecular dynamics, machine-learning, Monte-Carlo algorithms and so on. His research contains electrochemical catalysis, three-way catalysis, bio-mass conversion, molecular spectroscopy theory, and the development and application of machine-learning and Monte-Carlo in catalysis. To now, he has published 30 SCI papers, including (1) one Science (equal contribution), (2) three ACS Catalysis, two Chemistry of Materials and one Chinese Journal of Catalysis (first-author), and (3) one ChemSusChem (co-corresponding author).
