 The Wushan Campus

As the 'dining hub' of South China University of Technology, the Wushan Campus offers seven distinct canteens, each with its own unique culinary delights. From Cantonese Morning tea to late-night BBQ, and from classic Cantonese cuisine to Northwest-style noodles, whatever yummy food you can think of, we've got it all!

01 East District No.1Canteen

First Floor

The First floor is dedicated to a variety of signature stir-fries, warming herbal soups, and sweet treats. It features specialties like Shanghai-style wontons, handmade dumplings, authentic Northern pastries, crispy sesame pancakes, golden pan-fried buns, and spicy hot pot soup. Take one bite and experience the flavors of both North and South China.

Second Floor

The second floor offers diverse options including self-service buffet, Japanese curry, cheese-baked rice, Sauerkraut Fish, Sichuan-style grilled fish, and Pepper Kitchen. Enjoy chef-prepared self-select meals that allow you to mix and match freely, ensuring a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.

02 East District No.2 Canteen

The dishes in this canteen are rooted in full-bodied flavors of Northwest Chinese cuisine, yet adapted to local palates. A variety of authentic Northwest dishes and snacks in this canteen can leave you drooling, for example, a BBQ-with a mixed flavor of crispiness and tenderness, and noodles and dumplings with springy texture. With a variety of mouth-watering spicy dishes, every bite feels like an instant trip to the bustling streets of the West!  

03 South District Canteen

The canteen champions authentic Cantonese taste in our transparent kitchen. Here, every dish is made to order right before your eyes—a true experience that puts freshness first. It offers a wide variety of options, including self-service fast food, Hakka rice congee and noodles, Hong Kong-style meals (such as iron plate rice, special vegetarian pasta, and smooth egg rice), Hunan-style stir-fries, spicy and numbing malatang and fragrant pot, as well as authentic northern Chinese noodles.

The Yan Shitang, located next to the South District Canteen, is an ideal spot for faculty and student gatherings and casual dining. It offers a diverse menu including Northeastern-style stews and braised dishes, savory marinated rice with toppings, Shunde-style steamed spare ribs rice, and a variety of light, sweet Cantonese desserts.  

04 Central District Canteen   

Nestled at the heart of the Wushan Campus, this canteen is the go-to spot for students to grab a bite between classes because ofits prime location.

It offers longer hours than other canteens: 6:30 AM - 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. To avoid the rush, we encourage you to dine during off-peak hours. Our diverse menu is sure to delight: For breakfast and dinner, start or end your day with classic Cantonese steamed buns, fresh bread, delicate pastries, and handmade soup dumplings; for lunch and dinner, we honor the tradition of Cantonese cuisine while embracing thoughtful innovation. Our menu features classic desserts, signature White Cut Chicken with its crisp skin and tender meat, and savory roast meats like richly seasoned Char Siu. Come and savor the authentic taste of Guangdong.

But that's not all. We also cater to diverse palates with a wide array of choices beyond Cantonese cuisine, including Old Shanghai Wontons, traditional Chaoshan and Cantonese noodles, freshly griddled Scallion Pancakes & Sauce Pancakes, handmade Dumplings, freshly steamed Cheung Fun, savory and spicy Luosifen, Malatang and Aromatic Pot (priced by weight, not by ingredient), Roasted Duck/Goose combos, and wok-tossed Special Fried Rice bursting with 'wok hei'. With such a vast selection, there's truly something to satisfy every craving!

05 West District Canteen

Widely recognized as a 'Top Campus Canteen,' West District Canteen stands as the most popular spot for food at SCUT.

This canteen operates extended hours to satisfy your cravings at any time of day, from 7 a.m. with steaming Cantonese Morning Tea, through the bustling lunch queues at 11 a.m., to the popular wok-tossed dishes and sizzling BBQ available until 9 p.m.

Second Floor

The second floor offers classic Cantonese selections and dedicated windows for Sichuan and Hunan cuisines, featuring Cantonese Morning Tea, Minnan-style dishes, and tender fish with pickled mustard greens—allowing you to savor diverse regional flavors in one place.

Third Floor

The third floor features a rich selection of Cantonese and West District specialty counters, a Northwest China-style noodle bar, and a viral revolving restaurant. This popular spot keeps its menu fresh with seasonal offerings like hot pots and healthy meal-prep boxes. Adding to the convenience is a new smart self-service system. Operating on a unique 'zone-based pricing' model, it truly embraces the principle of 'eat as you need,' giving teachers and students flexible and budget-friendly dining options.


The Campus Restaurant (Floors 4 & 5)

Recently honored with the national 'Most Popular Campus Dining Hall' award, this two-story restaurant caters to a variety of needs. The fourth floor, designated for faculty, features a variety of Chinese fast-food options and diverse culinary styles, offering a rich and varied selection of dishes.  

The fifth floor specializes in made-to-order stir-fries, BBQ, and other dishes ideal for group dining. The restaurant features 19 private rooms (including 3 large ones), designed to accommodate different requirements. The spacious hall is fully equipped with a large LED display and can seat up to 500 people, making it suitable for banquets, parties, and cultural events. Customized services are also available based on specific requests from faculty and students.

06 North District No.1Canteen

First Floor

The first floor brings together a variety of popular foods. Choices are plentiful and easy on the wallet, including Siu Mei, home-style dishes, sizzling platter rice, nourishing clay pot soups, sour-and-spicy Luosifen noodles, Chaoshan specialties, tasty sizzling plate meals, comforting Pepper Pork Tripe Chicken, small-bowl steamed dishes, Cheung Fun and rice congee, whole grain fish noodles, northern-style dim sum, classic burgers, and refreshing drinks from Mixue.  

Second Floor

The North Hall primarily features a Weigh-and-Pay counter for self-selected dishes, along with Hong Kong-style BBQ, tender Fish with Pickled Mustard Greens, and rice served in bamboo steamers. The South Hall specializes in Southeast Asian flavors, Cantonese and Hunan-style stir-fries, spicy Chongqing Chicken Pot, and Malatang & Aromatic Pot. It's a vibrant culinary journey across different regions.  

07 North District No.2 Canteen

First Floor

The first floor serves a wide array of options, including the Weigh-and-Pay counter, Siu Mei, sizzling grilled meals, burgers, pasta, soupy noodles and wontons, and refreshing mixed noodles. Its heartwarming midnight diner service ensures you can enjoy a satisfying meal here around the clock, covering all three main meals and late-night snacks.


Second Floor

The second floor is equipped with a high-tech Weigh-and-Pay system. Simply place your selected dishes on the tray, and the system automatically identifies them for quick and efficient checkout. The newly opened Hong Kong-style tea restaurant is all about the vibe. Retro neon signs paired with nostalgic posters create an authentic Hong Kong atmosphere, making every spot picture-perfect. Indulge in their crispy and fluffy Pineapple Bun with butter and silky-smooth Silk Stocking Milk Tea. You can experience the authentic, bustling atmosphere of old Guangzhou without even leaving campus!

08 Yun Cafe & Burger

Yun Cafe & Burger nestled beside the side entrance of the campus Green Food Factory (opposite East District No.1Canteen). It uses freshly baked bread from the factory daily and quality ingredients to serve up handcrafted burgers, hot-pressed sandwiches, American-style hot dogs, coffee drinks, and specialty snacks. Freshly made, irresistibly tasty-come savor!


 University Town Campus

The two canteens at the University Town Campus are located right next to the teaching buildings and library, offering maximum convenience. They serve a wide array of cuisines—from everyday comfort food to regional specialties, quick meals to casual snacks—making them the perfect spot to recharge between study sessions.

01 No.1 Canteen

No. 1 Canteen is known for its affordable, homestyle dishes, offering consistent quality at great value. Its proximity to the library makes it a top choice for students. Options include a self-serve section, dumplings, and various noodle dishes.

First Floor

First Floor: Features a popular self-serve section alongside handmade dumplings and wontons, freshly stir-fried noodles, crispy jianbing (savory crepes), fried rice, silky rice noodle rolls, spicy malatang, and Northeastern-style flatbreads. A bakery and drink station offer fresh juices, sweet egg waffles, and other treats.

Second Floor

From rice noodles, Siu Mei (roasted meat), tender Longjiang braised pork knuckle rice, to fiery Sichuan-style noodles—each dish offers endless delight, leaving you craving more!

Third Floor

Featuring Northwest-style noodles, rice bowls, hand-pulled noodles, Cantonese claypot rice, Cantonese soup with rice, Northeast Chinese set meals, Huayuanyun  Burgers, fried chicken, and more—experience diverse authentic flavors all in one place!

02 No.2 Canteen

With rich and diverse dishes, No.2 canteen offers stone pot rice, pork belly and chicken soup, Guilin rice noodles, pan-fried meat, Siu Mei (roasted meat), Henan noodles, grilled meat with rice, steamed bun, so as to meet different taste preferences.

First Floor

Houses serving stations for self-serve dishes, Sichuan and Hunan flavors, and healthy options, plus a selection of fresh steamed buns, fried noodles, and noodle soups.

Second Floor

There are not only classic delicacies selected by the public, but also barbecue rice, fragrant Huayuan Siu Mei (roasted meat), and spicy and fragrant Malatang (spicy hot pot) that keeps you reaching for more! Every bite excites your taste buds and leaves you craving another!

Third Floor

Presents a grand spread including siu mei, casserole dishes, sizzling plate rice, stone pot rice, pork belly chicken soup, Northern-style noodle shops, and international cuisine—a true feast for the senses.

 Guangzhou International Campus

The Guangzhou International Campus is a melting pot of cultures and cuisines. Its three canteens are more than just places to eat—they are destinations for a fantastic culinary and cultural experience.

01 D5 Canteen

Committed to providing a premium dining experience, D5 Canteen upholds a philosophy of 'new dishes every month' and has recently upgraded its menu with delightful new offerings.

Featured Stalls:

Window 10, 1F - Dongdajia Beef Rice

Beef boasts high nutritional value,with a crispy crust and a delicious aroma.Each bite delivers the authentic, fresh taste of beef, making it truly irresistible.

11th Window, 1st Floor “Huainan Beef Soup”

The soup is rich and mellow, and the beef is tender and juicy. Have a sip of it, and the warm flavor seems to instantly chase away all your fatigue, leaving a lingering and satisfying taste in your mouth.

Chef's Recommendations:

Canton-style Stone-milled Rice Noodle Roll: Cooked to order, the Rice Noodle Roll is smooth and delicate. Paired with the specially prepared sauce and side dishes, it is sure to whet your appetite and is truly a favorite among Cantonese locals.

Guizhou Shuicheng Mutton Noodles:Fresh mutton is served with smooth rice noodles, then tossed in savory mutton broth and special spices with our signature chili oil. The rice noodles are chewy and firm, while the mutton is rich yet not greasy with its perfect balance of lean and fat.

Northeastern Guobaorou (Sweet & Sour Pork): This Northeastern cuisine window faithfully recreates the classic dish. The golden crust crunches delightfully at the first bite, while the tender, juicy pork inside is perfectly complemented by a well-balanced sweet and sour sauce. Each bite leaves you craving the next.

Hong Kong-Style Café (Cha Chaan Teng): It serves a wide variety of teppanyaki, rice bowls and snacks, full of authentic Hong Kong-style flavors that will instantly transport you to Causeway Bay.

F5 Canteen

First Floor

Bringing together delicacies from around the globe: Turkish Döner kebab Rice with tender meat inside a crispy shell, Old Shanghai-style wontons in a rich broth with hearty fillings, Hunan Cuisine with aromatic spice, authentic and robust Northwestern specialties, and MIXUE Ice Cream & Tea offering refreshing drinks—a one-stop destination to taste flavors from across the world.

Second Floor

Featuring Hong Kong-style roasted meats, classic burgers, Chaoshan noodles, popular stir-fry dishes, and more—now joined by Cotti Coffee and equipped with an oversized KTV screen! Diners can freely request songs while they eat, enjoying a feast for both the ears and the taste buds.

B1 Canteen

As visually striking as it is flavorful! Enjoy sizzling teppanyaki, Korean bibimbap, small-pot rice noodles, Chaoshan soup noodles, tender fish in pickled broth, and more for a truly satisfying meal.

Hua Yuan Cloud Canteen – Online Ordering Platform

The Hua Yuan Cloud Canteen is the university's official online food ordering and delivery platform, operated by the SCUT Logistics Catering Service Center. It allows you to pre-order from any campus canteen.

Delivery Services: Full delivery to dormitories is available on the Wushan and University Town campuses. The Guangzhou International Campus currently offers pre-order for dine-in or self-pickup.

Official & Consistent: As the authorized platform, it offers the same prices as on-site for a safe, fast, and convenient experience.

During traditional festivals such as Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Chinese New Year, the platform also offersonline pre-orders for mailing or on-campus deliveryof festive foods like mooncakes, zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and pastries produced by the university's green food factory, delivering holiday warmth right to your doorstep.

The platform features a 'Specialty Dishes' section, where you can not only enjoy discounted prices but also stack additional promotions such as merchant-sponsored free delivery, spend-and-save offers, and flash sales. With value maximized, we welcome all students and staff to place your orders!
