The International Students Union (ISU) of South China University of Technology (SCUT) was established in 2008. Operating under the leadership and guidance of the School of International Education, the ISU is a voluntary student organization dedicated to self-management and self-service. Its mission is to serve the international student community, foster a positive and proactive learning environment, build a sound and vibrant international family on campus, and contribute to the university’s internationalized campus culture. Guided by the motto "Dedicated to Service, Courageous in Innovation, Willing to Contribute",the ISU strives to ensure all its endeavors are pragmatic and innovative.Since its inception, the ISU has carried out a series of impactful initiatives. These include assisting the School of International Education with annual orientation services, co-organizing major events such as the International Culture Festival and the New Year Gala, coordinating a diverse array of cultural and sports activities across all three campuses, and participating in volunteer services for events like the Canton Fair and the Spring Festival travel rush. The ISU has played a vital role as a bridge and a bond between the university and its international student community.
