South China University of Technology (HK) Alumni Association recently concluded its anniversary celebration and HKEX Listing Forum, themed “FinTech Innovation: Thriving in Hong Kong”, in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Prof. Tang Hongwu, Chancellor of SCUT, extended warm congratulations on the Association’s first anniversary and conveyed his greetings to all alumni in Hong Kong. Highlighting SCUT’s achievements in 2025, Chancellor Tang commended the Association for its dedication to its mission of “expanding resources, fostering mutual success, contributing to society, and honoring the alma mater” over the past year.

Prof. Zhang Xichun, President of the SCUT Alumni Association, expressed sincere gratitude to Hong Kong alumni for their long-standing, selfless dedication. He noted that alumni have provided vital support for SCUT’s high-quality development by mobilizing diverse resources across multiple channels.

Mr. Li Yongxi, Rotating Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association, emphasized that Hong Kong serves as a vital gateway for SCUT’s internationalization. He added that the SCUT GBA Science and Technology Innovation Industry Institute is successfully integrating technology, industry, and finance through the “SCUT Model”.

The Forum centered on the role of empowering innovation with financial capital. In his address, Prof. XU Yong , Vice President of SCUT, encouraged alumni to leverage the GBA Science and Technology Innovation Industry Institute to “awaken” technological resources with financial capital, acting as catalysts for the development of new quality productive forces. Keynote speaker Mr. Zhang Wenyu shared expert insights on “Corporate Governance and Listing Practices in Hong Kong”.
