On August 28, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) unveiled the winners of the 26th China Patent Awards. South China University of Technology (SCUT) secured 6 awards—1 Silver Award and 5 Excellence Awards—ranking first among universities nationwide in total awards. Since 2009, SCUT has received a total of 65 China Patent Awards—the highest total among Chinese universities—and was the first patent holder for 56 of these award-winning patents.
