On September 10, the 11th Guangdong Provincial Award Ceremony for Excellence in Philosophy and Social Sciences was held in Guangzhou. Yu Xiangcheng, chancellor of SCUT, attended the event, together with representatives of the university’s award-winning faculty members. At the ceremony, SCUT was recognized with 48 awards, including 12 First Prizes, 23 Second Prizes, and 13 Third Prizes.

The award-winning research covers SCUT’s leading interdisciplinary disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, including Marxist theory, management, economics, law, and public administration. Many of these studies focus on major national and regional priorities, such as the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the cultivation of new quality productive forces, urban governance, andthe rule of law in foreign-related affairs, highlighting SCUT’s distinctive approach to integrating the humanities with engineering disciplines.

SCUT continues to improve both the quality and quantity of its social science research, with numerous papers published in top-tier domestic and international journals. Leveraging the National High-End Think Tank Platform, SCUT has produced a range of high-quality policy advisory reports, contributing its expertise to the implementation of national strategies and the high-quality development of Guangdong Province.
