From October 14 to 19, SCUT Vice President Wu Bo led a delegation to Europe to attend celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of the Lancaster University Confucius Institute and the 10th anniversary of the Audi Ingolstadt Confucius Institute, as well as the unveiling ceremony of the Confucius Institute of Bari. The visit aimed to consolidate the achievements of the three Confucius Institutes and expand cooperation with European universities.

SCUT has jointly established three Confucius Institutes in Europe:

• Established in 2011 in partnership with Lancaster University, the Lancaster University Confucius Institute has been recognized as a Global Advanced Confucius Institute and serves as an important platform for China-UK exchanges in Northwest England.

• Established in 2016 through collaboration among multiple partners, the Audi Ingolstadt Confucius Institute was the first Confucius Institute in the world to involve a corporate partner in its establishment. It serves as a platform for China-Germany exchanges with a focus on engineering.

• Unveiled in 2026, the Confucius Institute of Bari is a landmark achievement marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the sister-city relationship between Guangzhou and Bari.
