South China University of Technology (SCUT) and Yuexiu Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement on October 26, along with an agreement to establish a joint laboratory for new energy and energy storage.

SCUT President Yang Zhongmin highlighted the partnership’s potential to open up new opportunities for nurturing innovative talent, strengthening scientific and technological innovation, and advancing industrial upgrading.

Chen Qiang, Chairman of Yuexiu Group, outlined a shared vision for building an innovation hub, commercializing R&D achievements, and nurturing talented young scientists to foster mutual empowerment and shared development.

Yuexiu Group also held a recruitment session and dedicated interviews on campus that day, offering more than 300 job positions to SCUT graduates.

Heads of university offices and departments and representatives of faculty and students attended the event.
